As we face the hustle and bustle of family life, it's easy to feel overwhelmed by everything we must contend with every day. From the morning routine, Bible time, work and school for parents and kids to extracurricular activities and regular doctor appointments, our family schedules can be jam-packed!

But there comes a point when balance and purpose become lost in the shuffle. Busy families prone to exhaustion will struggle to fulfill their chief goal of faithfully discipling their children. Stressful environments often lead to heated arguments and unkind words.

It's not impossible, though! We can find that perfect balance between stretching ourselves too thin and taking the opportunity to disciple our children. With God's help and guidance, dads can stay busy without sacrificing that essential purpose.

Have you ever longingly gazed out the window on a weekday morning and wished that you could go back to sleep? Family life can get so busy that it seems almost impossible to keep up. With all the necessary and extra tasks like getting ready for school, doing homework and participating in sports teams, art classes and music lessons, having quality family time can become an afterthought.

Carrying this kind of hectic lifestyle can lead to exhaustion and frustration among family members, which makes it even more difficult to stick to the foundational goal of forming disciples. However, finding balance and purpose is not impossible! We can still make sure our families are kept healthy, happy and spiritually nourished in spite of our bustling itineraries. Dads, let’s come together to find a way to prioritize our families without sacrificing all the things we need and want to do.

Have you ever had one of those weekday mornings when you look at your family's busy schedule and feel like you just want to hide beneath the covers? It's a common sentiment shared by most households with school-age children! It seems like there is an endless list of daily requirements that have to be fulfilled: morning routines, family Bible time, parental and teen work duties, school for the kids, household chores, family dinner and evening routines. But that's not all, as many families also attend extracurricular activities and other fun outings, adding even more stress to their plates. And let's not forget about the diversity in schooling options that can contribute to varying needs and opportunities.

When life becomes too hectic, it can take its toll on our relationships, leading to exhaustion, frustration and unkindness. The truth is that no matter how tight our schedules are, we can still make it a priority to carry out our God-given purpose of discipleship. We simply need to learn how to find a balance within activity and purpose! So dads, let's strive together towards creating a better harmony of busyness and spiritual wholesomeness.
